I've been offically practiceing wicca for a few months now. My parents are christan and would skin me alive if they new that I had converted religons and started worshiping someone other than "christ". I've been planing to come out of the broom closet when I'm eighteen. All these diffrent sites that I've been on say that I should do it now. I want to know what you guys think I should do. The sites said that if my parents don't want me to practice wicca than I should honor their dession but I'd rather move out of the house than give up wicca untill I'm eighteen! PLEASE help me! Should I tell then now or when I'm eighteen? Thanks! :)

Advice can be given, but the choice is ultimately yours.

Perhaps you should take some time to think about the path you've chosen and what it really means to you. You've admittedly only been practicing for a few months, so you aren't set into your path yet. It may change, and you may have stirred a pot for nothing. You may discover that you don't need to walk around with a giant neon sign on your head that reads "Wiccan" to practice. You may even discover that you don't have to have every tool under the sun, an alter or anything "noticeable" yet.

On the flip side, your parents may be more understanding than you are giving them credit for if...and I do mean IF you presented it in an intellectual and anger free manner. The problem most people face is that they don't even know enough about their own path to be able to fully understand it let alone articulate it to others without throwing a tantrum.

What does it come down to? You live in your parents house, so you do actually have to obey their wishes (within reason, illegal actions aside) until you are old enough to move out and take care of yourself. I know teenagers don't like to hear that, but it's the truth and something we all realize at one point or another.
