It was always 'the element' that I identified with most. It is reflective, fluid, deceptive, and I love to swim.

Magically, I use it in spirit work and if a work calls for it. Bathing, floor washes, etc. all use water. It cleanses and is a method for delivery. It can also dispel and remove. Great thing, all around.

Whenever there is a really heavy rain storm I can feel my energy from any anger I have been holding inside violently jump out of my body. I should not be disturbed during this release of energy because I am really angry. I cant control it either but I warn my friends right when the storm is coming. After the storm I am usually exhausted.

Lustral water (khernips) is made in Hellenismos through the dipping of an herb, incense, or piece of wood into the water while it is on fire or smoldering. The prefatory nature of fire is put into the water, so we can use it to wash up, clean the miasma, before prayer. Here's a variant of a floor wash, or sprinkle, based on this:

  1. Lemon Juice, half a lemon or a couple table spoons.
  2. Vinegar, a drop.
  3. Salt.
  4. Water, 1 part natural (rain, spring, ocean), 1 part tap.

Either take a bay leaf or take a small piece of wood and set it on fire. Put out the fire into the mixture of water. Add the vinegar, extra salt, and lemon juice into the water. Now you have a good lemon scented cleanser to wash up everything. If you have wood floors, avoid anything salty. I'd skip the vinegar if I wanted to use this for my face or hands.

The Tides by SpellsofMagic.com/ Undyne

Tides are the rise and fall of the sea's level which is employed by the combined gravitational forces of the Sun and Moon from the Earth's rotation. The times of which when a certain tide take place is heavely influenced by the alignment of the Sun and Moon upon the earth, such as when the Moon is at its first or third quater. When this happens the Sun and the Moon form a 90 degree angle and cause a special tide called a neap tide. To add to that when the Moon and the Sun form a straight line they create another special tide called a spring tide.

The difference between these two are quite simple

A Spring tide occurs when there is a full or new moon and at these times the high tides are at their highest, while the low ones are at their lowest.

While when there is a neap tide the tides are at the weakest.

High and low tides on the other hand are created when the Moon rotates and creates a big bulge of water on both sides of the planet facing outward. This bulge is called a high tide and moves along with the moon while the secound bulge on the other side follows it. The water that is left over is called low tide, so depedning on what tides will come in your area deteremines where the Moon is at.

  • Flood/Flow: To bring anything towards you
  • High Tide: For any positive workings
  • Ebb: To bring anything away from you
  • Low Tide: For any negative workings
  • Spring Tide: Causes tidal magick to be stronger
  • Neap Tide: Causes tidal magick to be weaker
Some shorelines experience two of the same tides per day while some only have a pair of one each day. Though it is quite possibility to have a range a mixed tides in your area also.
