A Magic Name is a coice, but not necisairy. It is used to keep our normal lives seperate from our magical lives and to help us get into the mindset to do spells and rituals, sort of like changing uniforms between jobs. It also lets any entities you may be working with know when your going to work a spell and not just talking normaly about something, to prevent accidental invocation of them

Well, there are plenty of ways you can pick your magickal name. But I don't see how your angel is going to tell you your name?

Most magical names come from a patron god/godess or spirits.

Or your spirit animal.

Perhaps a teacher?

None is gonna reveal to you your name. Its somthing that you will choose honey. Name yourself after a god, spirit, or something related to your arts.
