just questioning things

has anyone ever felt so down they felt empty and numb? and then with this numbness, you have a sort of presence in this world where you're just watching as people go hustling without any thought to what they do throughout the day? it just seems that we live mundane lives and we do it because society expects us to, or we just follow orders blindly... it just seems like some people live in a bubble too like they are completely unaware of the outside world because they follow a routine that is basically sleeping, eating, working, eating, sleeping. i'm not high or anything, i just had a rough day and after a good cry, i got this feeling and just started questioning how we live in such an unremarkable and repetitive world.

I think often when we get into these moods, we tend to only see the bad or boring aspects of life. It's easy to just see surface level and feel lost in what to do, just because society tells you this is what you should do, but you end up feeling nothing for it.

In another view though there are a lot of beautiful "magical" things going on, there's subcultures and artists and people pursuing passions,it might just be a little harder to find. In total you should always strive to do what makes you happy, and what makes you happy makes you unique.

There's a lot more to life than just going to school, getting a job, and then living in a house witha white picket fence. I think we all have to figure out what that means for us.

Have you spoken to a doctor about this? It sounds like you might have a mild depression of sorts. [at least how you described your views remind me of myself around the time I was diagnosed]

It's true many walk around in a haze, get lost in the mundane routine of life, stress out over inconsequential matters, and don't see the big picture as it were, but it's not your job to question others lives or try to prove they're living life wrong [so to speak] everyone is living their life how they feel is best, and if you feel off it means you're not living your best life possible. I would look at yourself and ask if you are living the best life? [and by that I don't mean you should be a millionaire on a yacht. I mean what makes you happy. What do you want most?]

Life is about choice, you choose to have cake, you choose to have salad, you choose to do yoga [and as upsetting as it sounds you choose who you let effect your life] Someone might leave a hurtful comment [and we're human, it will hurt at first] but it's you allowing yourself to replay it and dig through the trash and muddy your energy, mind, and spirit.

I would do what's best for yourself and no one else [not saying don't help a friend in need, but you shouldn't worry about society being shallow and more are you being caught up in the drama to distract yourself from your best life?]
