Thought we could use something like this where we can suggest books to each other (novel or spell book, any kind). The book I am suggesting is a series called Sweep by Cate Tiernan. It is a story about a girl in high school that is a Catholic. Then out of the blue a boy named Cal gets in rolled and teaches a few people on how to be a witch. Morgan, the girls name, likes him. It is a mix of some romance, has death, lots of Magick (not the Harry Potter stuff), and covens.
I hope you guys and girls will really enjoy it, I mean I did.
Maybe we could say what age set the book is appropriate for in the suggestion and keep the suggestion clean in respect for the fact that there are kids on these forums.
It is for teens, the only thing they really talk about is sex (but they never really get that into it just if she should with Cal or not. And she doesn't so no worry).
The Secret Circle seems like a good book. Its for teens. Ive never read it but theyre making it a tv show on the CW network. So I read of it. its about a coven of teen witches.
Magickal book-wise though i find that Cunninghams Magical Herbs is a great book. There is a new version out currently, but i havent picked it up. I have the old version, which i actually found in my grandmothers garage. lol. Also "The Witches Journal" by Selene Silverwind is pretty good as well. It gives a lot of good information that is useful to anyone beginning. Color meanings, rune meanings, names of Gods and Goddesses etc. I suggest all of those. Also, any crystal book is good.
Ooo another good book is Out of the Broom Closet: 50 True stories of witches who found and embraced the craft. It is for all and tells real stories about people who came out of the Broom Closet, I really enjoy it.
I think a book section in the forums would be a great idea so that we can have all the threads that suggest a different book or kinds of books be in one place.
Asks Pet in the nicest way she can for a book forum section.
