Does anyone have an explanation or an opinion on this experience.
So I was playing with my brother's dog with tennis ball. Just out of curiousity, I wanted to feel the energy of the ball. Normaly I just like to feel plants, furniture, and stones so it was a new experience for me. Once I could feel it, I started playing with her again, but the dog would not touch it. She looked like she wanted to play, but she looked at the ball like I'd told her "No!". It took some persuasion to get her to play with it again. I repeated this twice afterwards and the result was the same, she wouldn't touch the ball. Anyone have any explanation?
What did you do to feel the energy of the ball? Dogs are particularly sensitive to body language and if she was well trained (or at least slightly obedient) she'd pick up you subconsciously claiming the ball if you accidentally made small body movements. For example holding it for longer than normal, maintaining eye contact on the ball, bowing your head over it, there's a whole list of actions that in a dogs eyes mean "hands off".
Methinks Yakov's got it. When I felt the energy I tried not to hold longer than normal, but I probably did. Usually when I'm holding something and feeling the energy, I hold it softer. I also focus on feeling the energy, so maybe she even picked up that I was distracted.
Animals have a knack for seeing things and feeling things that we don't normally or can't. Even if it is just hearing things since their hearing is capable of picking up much higher ranges then ours. I wont say for sure if they can see spirits and all that stuff but I think they can pick up on energy. I think it explains why they know by instinct sometimes the people who like them or are good with animals in general and shy away from those who might be abusive or they just don't like. It seems that every dog I come across barks up a storm when I walk by and not for others that may be in front of me. I still haven't figured out that one yet.
