What is black magick? There is no such thing. It is a common misconception that divides Magik into ''good'' (white) and ''evil'' (black). In reality, Magik is neutral. The witch's intention while casting the spell gives the energy a positive or negative charge. However, life is complex and not binary. Magik has been preformed in some way in every culture. It was not until white Europeans began interacting with African and Caribbean people that the ''black'' and ''white'' label began. This was yet another way to divide people and appear superior. White people practice ''white magick'' which is typically things like herbs and crystals while POC practice ''black magick'' with animal bones and blood. The reality is, it is the exact same Magik, simply a different practice.
You mentioned black magick using hair, and photos of the target. These are spell ingredients. They are not good or evil. You can use a hair in a healing, or a photo for a love spell. The item contains the targets energy and makes it easier to direct the energy towards them. It is the witch that conjures the Magik for its intended purpose, not the item.
