I do not recommend trying hoodoo spells you find online. Hoodoo is a type of rootwork, and while not closed like Voodoo, they do work with similar spirits and ingredients. If you are not familiar with these spirits, the odds are low you will make the intended item. Hot foot powder is a prime example. Hot foot powder is a common spell item used in baneful workings and/or to make someone leave. The ingredients used in hot foot powder typically have protective and cleansing properties to them. It is the spirits that you are calling on when you use the hot foot powder that makes it so powerful. If you do not have that connection, there is a chance it will still work if you focused your intention well enough, but it is more likely you will unintentionally bless the person. The above spell is the same thing. Graveyard dirt needs to be collected in a specific way or you risk upsetting the spirits and getting in trouble with them. Snakeskin does have protective properties, but also transformational. Salt can be harmful when sprinkled outside as it kills grass and plants. Sand and/or ground eggshells are a common substitute. I recommend researching these items, especially the graveyard dirt, so you use them correctly. I would also suggest finding a different protection mix to be safe.
