Split Ends

Lay the cord out before you with scissors in one hand and say aloud:

"By vexing thought and wicked speak, erode their thoughts until their meek. Rot their lips, lies on tongues, fill their rage, like water in lungs. Thinned hair, coarse voice, bonds broken, too hard to bare. Withered heart and troubled soul, break them apart this is my goal"

Take the cord and cut it in half with the scissors as messily and uneven as possible to represent an unhappy break-up.

Dispose of the cord pieces separately or destroy them by burning them.
