Cursed countries

Hey guys
How is it going?
I have a question.
Is it possible to be cursed a country as economical?
If there are murder news ,that country has been cursed?
If economy is bad and can't fix ,is it a sign of the curse?
I wonder your view.

By a mage? The power to curse an entire nation would be insane...I dont think its even possible to release that much energy but then again we would never know.

By a Spirit? Yes there are Angels, Demons, Gods, Land Spirits and others who could in theory curse a nation into ruin.

However its usually many factors that would cause a country to experience what you mentioned and most are mundane.
