Hello everyone
I have a question for you, I don't know why I'm on this site.
I don't have as much information about gods and goddesses as you do, and the spells here affect me.
I felt my mind calm when I meditated, and now I've only tried meditation.
What do you think drew me to this site?
When I meditated, it was like I started to see the world with different eyes, I became more positive. I read about Norse mythology in mythology books, as I said, I don't know how to pray to gods and goddesses.
Can you help me?
id say since your most interested in norse gods and goddesses you can start with them. give a search on a list of their pantheon and absorb as much knowledge on each and every deity and see which one resonates most with you, your path, beliefs and practices. think of who you would have the easiest time working with and research the one you pick intensively. once you have grounded information on them youll figure out the incense they like, candle colour as well as all possible names for them. from there you can research "prayer to (deity name)" im sure youll find something to resonate with and be sure you come sincerely with prayer. some people choose to do simple invocations or ones with communion (offering) though id advise against working with deities who prefer blood though if it is your will do follow it whole heartedly.
Just by reading your post, I'm like getting all excited for you. So let's just take a deep breath and thank the universe for being where you are right now. You are on this site for a reason. You are getting to know a community and hopefully join this community of like minded people. Always remember that sometimes we don't reckonise what the soul reckonises. So you being here, is the work of the universe. Trust in the universe and you will get clarity as to why and for what reason you are where you are.
And with saying that, so what if you dont have information about Gods and Goddesses. Everybody learns, everybody sometimes or the other gather information by reading, by researching and we learn by asking the right questions in order to attain the right answers. And you are doing just that. You are asking the right questions.
You are questioning because you are growing. And self growth is paramount when you start to tread a path that chooses you. You already seem to have a calling which is Norse Gods and Goddesses and everything surrounding them. You are reading about them, so I'm sure you feel a connection to them. This site has vast information on Norse Mythology, hence one of the reasons you are on this site. So a part of your question answerd. I can tell you from A to Z or quote from the text book about Norse Mythology, however the best way for you to learn, is get to know the Gods and Goddesses. Connect with them. See with whom you can build a bond with, whom or which aspect you resonate with. Do it at your own pace and leisure. Enjoy it, enjoy the process. Because you are establishing your position as to where you are right now on your journey.
Meditation is powerful. You are growing not just spiritually, but you are growing from within. You are balancing your body. Your mind is finding peace, your mental state of mind is connecting with positive Universal Energies. You start to see the world differently, meaning what's real, what's not, what has value and meaning, and what hasn't. You see the world from a soul that is on the path of what seems to be, a path of enlightenment. Meditation has so many rewarding qualities that you even start to see not just the world differently, but yourself aswell. Again, you must enjoy this process or this initial transformation stage you are in. Remember, there is always a reason for you being where you are right now.
When it comes to praying to Gods and Goddesses. It's only your pure intenson and devotion and time given to them, which makes it the right way to pray to them. Physical aspect like offerings in such will follow accordingly. Learn the basics first. Your Time and Dedication to them and get to know them. Have images or pictures of the Gods and Goddesses that calls to you, that you are drawn to. Light a candle perhaps, insence maybe. Keep it simple for now. Baby steps before giant leaps.
And yes, embrace the moment. Respond with a thought of understanding and thankfulness rather than reacting without a reason. And when it's a path that calls out to you and chooses you, just own it.

I practice a northern faith, I like reading the sagas. A prayer can be as simple as, I pray to (insert name) to watch over me, to lighting a candle that was inscribed, and asking a deity to watch over you using a ritual.
