I'd like to share a personal Curse-Breaking Spell , that is of my own device and have used for a while. I do take it that this is the place to share it as I cannot post in the spell tab.
This Curse-Breaking spell was a creation of mine from a few years back. It's simple. Easy to get the reagents, and not over the top or difficult.
:Reagents / Tools Needed:
Heat Resistant Dish / Bowl
Dried Rose Petals and Stems (1 rose will do)
Cinnamon (Crushed or Oil)
Match or Lighter
3 Pennies
:Steps:
1) In the bowl place your rose petals and stems into the heat resistant dish, drizzling the cinnamon oil / or sprinkling the crushed cinnamon over them. Speaking:
"Sacred herb. The force of fire."
2) Light the match or lighter, igniting the cinnamon and rose, speaking.
"Burn this hex, my true desire."
3) Waft the smoke through the area / over the person or object, chanting:
"The blackened soul, the pitch of night. Remove this curse from this site (if location / area) / from my sight (if object / person)".
4) Then finally, take the three pennies and sit them outside your front door / or property line, uttering:
"The curse be paid. Left at the door. None of this! The Hex, no more!"
I am glad you like it! I use coins in my practice to symbolize and actualize the payment for said spell or spirit work. I am happy someone on here could find use in what little knowledge I have.
I am curious as to what the symbolism is that you ascribe to the rose blossom in this curse breaking spell. Generally the bloom is associated with love, harmony, and beauty. I've used rose thorns before for protection but not the flower itself. If you are willing to share more of your thoughts I would like to understand better.
I must admit I am curious as well. The coins make sense for me, as many hexes/curses tend to be brought about by people who feel wronged, or some variety of the idea behind kerma/debt. So paying that debt to release a curse makes a whole lot of sense.
My own assumption on the rose is to release the curse from a perspective of restoring harmony, and/or from a place of love and release rather than your typical, more aggressive/oppositional stance. Sort of a 'go in peace' attitude rather than a 'get out or else' mindset.
At least that's how the process speaks to me anyways.
Thank you for asking questions about my method, it means a lot. To me, in my practice, roses from bloom to thorn and root are protective. The flower of the rose, soothes and helps release a "sweet air" from its scent. Allowing a "breath of fresh air", as you both already assumed to be correct. Which is awesome. The thorns are to call forth the power of the briars of the rose to impale and foul energy of the curse. The cinnamon be it oil or crushed, calls on the heat to burn it away, in conjunction with the actual physical fire of being lit.
So, you both are correct in your assumptions as to why I use it. Also when I curse, I often invoke the faeries or be it an ancestor to go forth and enact the curse, often bribing / offering the spirits something in exchange for them to do the hexing. So, using the coin literally and symbolically pays whatever spirit or source of the curse back, so it goes away. It's been a trusted method of mine from when it came to be in a spark of insight a few years ago which sparked me to create this Curse-Breaking spell.
