Hi.

To me it seems your intuitive ability may be at play.

I am not certain of the full moon thing or its relevance.

The lessening of pain seems to me to point to a possible ability to do healing work.

I'd consider developing your intuitive and healing methods.

As stated above your intuition could be kicking in.

The full moon (or any moon phase for that matter) has an effect on intuition and energy. Perhaps it helped increase the energies flow.

On possibility is that your particular headaches are triggered through tension, and so by touching pressing or massaging those areas that tension is being released. Which would also relieve the pain.

As for more energetic/spiritual thoughts, I agree with the general consensus. Pain and tension are usually associated with an imbalance or restriction of energy flow. By directing attention to those points you are likely introducing a better balance, or stimulating a clearing of movement that refreshes the area.

Another thought is that you might be unintentionally performing acupressure on yourself, stimulating sympathetic nerves which again relieve the issue.

As for the moon, it is one of those celestial bodies that are traditionally present in just about every path out there. People have kind of always looked up to it, especially on the full moon as it provided the most light at night when no other sources were available. This meant safety from dangers, visibility during travel, easier hunts for nocturnal prey, etc. (Which is why the full moon is also sometimes referred to as the hunter's moon) It's natural to feel a connection with the moon because of this. It happens on a primal, fundamental human level.

Spiritually-speaking, the full moon tends to represent a heightened influence or potency. Energy at full potential. It is often linked in magical workings with setting new things in motion, creation, activity, and heightened power. Moon energies also are often considered feminine/of the goddess, and tied with a measure of fertility and growth.

Moonlight is also a cleanser along with being empowering. There are practices for cleansing crystals and other magical items by clearing with salt then exposing them to a full moon. Likewise people can also 'moon bathe in a similar manner by going to a natural place and just taking in the moonlight. Nakedness optional, of course. Such rites involve consciously visualizing the moonlight washing through your body and energy to wash away negativity and otherwise poor/weak energies to leave you clean and recharged.
