Casting a spell in dream

This is totally random but I was having a dream last night. I was in front of a cave by the sea, in the middle of the night. I had a crystal in one hand and a lit candle in the other. I chanted a spell. Only part I remember is saying- here I stand, so dark the night. Yet this flame brings forth the light.
At that point the crystal started to glow and I woke up with my heart rapidly beating and a feeling of excitement. The words of the spell are so familiar to me but I’ve googled them and can’t find where they are from. Any one else heard of them or know of the spell they are from? I’ve been looking through all my spell books and can’t find it as well as searching on this and other sites.
Thanks in advance!

It's possible your dream was just reflecting spells and witchcraft being on your mind, and it was lucid enough for the conscious portion of your mind to spontaneously write some lines of verse. The heightened emotional state could have been what woke you up.

I think its a spell your mind knows about. A spell you somehow know about (or even sub-consciously made yourself), and sub-consciously searched for through your mind. I think you're supposed to cast it, have you had any negative situations in life. Maybe a string of bad luck. If that is so, I think the spell's meant to reverse it or fight the bad luck. Here is my analysis of each word:-
"Here I stand, so dark the night" could mean that you are going through something terrible, and the next line might be a line meant to summon something that could help you.
Maybe you're going to have a strong of bad luck happen to you, and your mind is warning you and giving you a spell to help out.

Interesting idea. No bad luck in my life at the moment so maybe I should prepare myself for something happening.
I do occasionally have bursts of creativity when thinking about spells and come up with a rhyming verse or two. I usually thank my spirit guides, guardian angels etc for give me the inspiration. Maybe it’s just a way of them communicating with me

Finally found out the spell does exist. It’s part of a love spell although I don’t know who wrote it.

I find this topic very interesting. That you have these verses on your mind, and creative inspiration, leads me to think, quite gladly I add, that you have a way with verse, or words. Honestly I feel you should do something with this creativity. I don't know if you've considered writing? Or if you do any type of creative writing, short stories poetry? Obviously you may be very good at writing your own spells, such is your memory to hold onto verse and to have it come back to you in a dream. You may wish to consider looking into lucid dreaming if you have not. You may do moderately well with it.

All my best to you. I am glad you've found your answer.

Haven’t really found a passion for writing poetry or stories. I do occasionally write my own spells. I always find it helps when casting a spell to have a lot of your own influence and power behind it. I am generally a creative person. I work in retail and always love creating new displays of products. At home I have a few crafting hobbies.
