Cemetary Gaurdian?

Hi I personally believe that the first person buried in a graveyard is considered the gaurdian of that cemetery. Though there is a minor issues I have with that. The graveyard by my house first burial was an infant. So I am thinking how can a baby guard a cemetery. Does this mean the graveyard isnt fully protected that well? What kind of offering should I leave to a baby if I wish to visit there?

An interesting idea. For me I believe that birds are the protecters of a graveyard this is because where I live there is always a magpie or two in the graveyard sitting on a gravestone and singing loudly.

I would not worry to much about the graveyard protection there would be other spirits around helping to protect the graveyard and babies have just as much power as adult. Spirit is not limited to what the human body is when we are alive there for the baby will not be seen as helpless child that needs its parents care. In fact the child may be able too use that belief to trick anyone that means it and the graveyard harm.

As for offerings you could do a few things. You can give it the basic common offerings such as water or baby things that won't harm the environment. If you can find it grave maybe try and look after it or pick up flowers that might have flown away from grave spots in the wind. Clean up trash that's been around there.

For protection if you work with Gods and Goddesses then maybe ask help from either a protective Gods or Gods that are known for being the Gods and Goddess of the underworld such as Hades from Greek. I'm also hearing coins would be a great offering for the child.
