Making incense for cheap

This post will cover a devotional incense I made to burn in honour to my patron. Here's a set of instructions on how I made it.
The first thing you'll need is a cup, or a repurposed candle sconce with a removable glass bulb, and you want to fill that about half way with salt.
Fire safety is super important.
Lemme stress that.
The second thing you'll need is paper.
Any kind works, and you can roll that paper using anything. Rather that's the base of a wooden spoon or a crochet needle, or a pencil or pen. So long as it's round pretty much. You will wind up with a little excess at the bottom; which is fine all you want to do is give it a little pinch at the bottom, or a fold, and you're golden.
The next steps play pretty well into one another.
You need a bowl(any kind)
A rock( smaller than ya bowl)
And some spices that match your intent, or in cases like mine, the local foliage your patron asks for.
Grind 'em spices/plants up
Pack 'em into your paper tubes
Light them and stick them pinched side down in the salt.
They burn for an absolute maximum of 15 minutes, which doesn't seem like much, but if you have a fairly steady intent and concentration 15 minutes is just as effective as an hour.
Anywho, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi Morriganu20,

I appreciate you posting this. I have been wanting to experiment more with making incense and now I have a new method to try! I have made cinnamon cones since they are ridiculously easy and smell great https://www.resonantaromatics.com/easy-cinnamon-incense-recipe. Since your recipe calls for a paper wrap, does it smoke a lot? My apartment has super touchy fire alarms.

Thanks for the share :)
