Choosing Faith
By:

I've been struggling to figure out which faith to believe in for a lon time. I believe in a higher power but I don't know which pantheon or God or Goddess to believe in. I would like to know how others decided on their faith, or maybe some tips on deciding if anyone is willing to share.

Well, you're certainly not alone! Many people go through a struggle about this for years, so you have solidarity there.

You don't have to choose a pantheon or a deity to believe in a higher power. Pantheism could be something to look into, especially since you mention nature in your bio. (Not a requirement or anything, just something to consider.)

There are also people who identify as eclectic. This is when people mix things that appeal to them. As long as it's done respectfully and nothing is appropriated, this is fine.

I started practicing my current path after stumbling around it for about five years. I had felt intimidated by it before, but eventually I just started doing what felt right, and then realized I was practicing an actual tradition and started following that.

I'd honestly recommend not worrying about it too much. Do what works. Focus on feelings. If you feel called to a deity, go to them. If a method of prayer works for you, then it's effective and you're doing something right. Listen to instinct and to the higher power you believe in, and see if that leads you there.

Also look into the concept of omnitheism, that's what I believe and is part of my faith. You don't have to follow a set religion, you can combine multiple ideas too. Just a thought :) goodluck

Hello,

I honestly don't have a particular religion i follow. I believe in the gods and goddesses, but i don't worship any particular one. I am more on the side of following darker entities, i have little knowledge on angelic spirits. I wish you the best of luck :)

Like the others said, you don't have to choose one path or the other.

I go with the flow and I like nature a lot and can find my peace in it. Draw from whatever calls to you. It isn't always necessary to put a label on things. Human beings like to label things in neat boxes and call it this path or that which is fine if that calls to the individual but equally so, you don't have to fit into someone else's neat little box.
