Enchantment
By:
Hi all, I am looking for a 'very' powerful enchantment spell that involves burning and writing.
I have a ring I wish to enchant as I wear it all the time and figured it would be a great first object to enchant.

peace to all

Generally ,to enchant an item you would charge it with the energy that you would wish it to have. For example, if you had a ring that you wished to be empowered with protective energies you would visualize and feel it glowing with that power/energy. It's also a good idea to cleanse the item before enchanting it. You can pass it through some incense smoke and then anoint it with a protective oil, such as cedar.

The processing of charging the item usually only takes a few minutes, and you should be able to feel if it is or isn't charged. Most of my items that I've done this with tend to give off an energy.

I would not recommend passing the ring through a flame, as that could result in you getting a nasty burn. You could, however, write your intent on a piece of parchment and then allow it to burn, as a closing to your act of magic.

Yes I tried that with a piece of tissue and wrote an incantation on it, I let the smoke and fire be the source of the spell for the ring and since I have seen some results with the effects.
although im not sure if the ring needs to be consistently enchanted to maintain the spell.

When a spell is enchanted into an item does it need to be cast or does the spell automatically reproduce in the magical item?

My plan is to enchant the ring and see how it effects the powers I see in my day to day life and also thanks for commenting!

Generally, when you enchant something, it always helps to recharge it. This helps the item keep its potency for extended periods of time. Think of it like a water faucet. When you enchant an item, you turn the faucet onand the water (energy) flows freely and evenly. When you turn the faucet off, the water slows to a trickle. Think of the magic you've placed upon the ring, in the same fashion. If you don't keep up on it, the energy you put into it can turn into a trickle and lose its strength, until you turn the faucet on again (re-charge the item.)

What are you charging it for? Protection? I've always enchanted my Dragon pentacle necklace the same way, every full moon I leave it in the moonlight to charge after saying a protection chant. Every so often if I feel it needs an extra kick I'll pass it through some Dragon Blood incense or something similar and leave it on my altar. You can make your own enchantment if it speaks to you to burn something in the process.

Nekoshema I have tried charging it for good luck and I have also tried a protection spell too and used it in combination with a binding spell although from what Misanthropy has said about charging and recharging I have noticed that the power I pour into the object to wear down eventually.

When I wear my ring Its like as though the spells become attached to me but when I wear it on a chain I think it gives it time to charge, I have found the energy flow interesting because it was how the spell was done and afterwards so mote it be.

My question is should I burn incense and pass it through it or should I burn a spell on tissue instead im not really sure on intent but I think its about belief, although when I said about a heavy spell being used I ment a permanent enchantment or long lasting.

Today I was wearing my ring and noticed sometimes it makes people say a word I got worried when energy channeled from my ring and made someone say dread although it was kind of interesting.

Also Misanthropy I forget to ask but what would you recommend me doing as a next step? How could I keep energy constantly in the ring with the intent behind the energy?

I explained that above. You'd need to recharge it every so often. I usually recharge mine once a week or once every other week, depending on when I feel it needs it.

As for your other question, you could do either one or you could do both together. That's up to you. Both would add to what you're doing and add to the energy of it. I personally only use the incense for this type of work, however.
