Talismen or amulet

Hello, I have never fully branched into the areas of talismen and amulet's, however I agreed to help my friend with his son. His son need's help relaxing and staying calm and I am not sure which would be better suited in making, a talismen or an amulet?

Well typically talismans are created to attract something to you, while amulets are for protection.
So I suppose it all depends on whether you would rather create something to bring calm and relaxation, or to protect against anxiety and stress.
