Really depends on other's perspective of demons and the conceptof evil. The definition of the word demon refers to an inside and outside force. As said above, in mythology and different belief systems they vary on views. In Sumerian/Babylonian, they go into different class: 1. Are seenas guardians 2. seen as gods 3. seen as causes of sickness or an illness the body-mindor soul.

For example, most people see Belial "The Wicked One" an evil demon but other's would see him as a good teacher even though he would project the daemon or shadow self of the self some wouldn't consider it to be too much or the other part would see it as a lesson and a good change.

In my experience with demons from the Goetia if you start out thinking they will hurt you thenyou'll get just that in return. It is said those spirits are either a projection of the subconsciousmind and a real outer force or just both.

I think there are different demons. See for example Eastern philosophy.
Rauravas - hells demons. Asuras - brothers of the gods. - Bali, Prahlada, Maya, Usha fo example, see Hindu mythology. They have the same father but different mothers. Rakshasas - a night demons. See for example Brag srin mo. In mythology of Tibet a wife of a first man and mother of mankind... And many others. Some demons are evil, some indifferent, some can be good.

I've used old Deities that may be considered demons and a goetia (Think I spelled that wrong) demon to help return a lost cat safely.

When I speak of Evil, I mean they have the intent to harm humans and animals.

I guess I'm speaking from Biblical definition of Evil. I guess in a way like all spirits they do what they have to do to survive. Spirits needs energy to survive (everything needs energy), so for some the easiest way to get this energy is through fear. So I guess when I speak about 'evil', I mean if they have the intent to harm people and animals both physically and mentally.

There's another question, I was asked this when I was in high school. What makes murder wrong? Without the law, morals, or religion, what makes murdering another human being wrong?

What makes an act of killing morally wrong is not that the act causes loss of lifebut rather that the act causes loss of all remaining abilities.

But that's the thing, what makes it 'wrong'? It really depends on your definition of wrong. If it weren't for law and morals, a lot more murder would happen.

If the entire human population wiped themselves out, the universe would still go on as it does. Right and wrong, good and evil, these are constructs. We made them. We don't like pain, therefore it shouldn't be inflicted on anyone. We fear death, therefore it shouldn't be inflicted on anyone. Personally, I don't see what killing anyone achieves. As for the comment that if there were no laws against it, everyone would be killing, that is false. A killer is going to kill, regardless of laws. They know it is deemed wrong; they simply do not care. Anyone that is inclined to do something dubbed heinous doesn't need anyone's permission to do so. There may be a small minority that hold back due to fear of legal consequences, but those same people have existed in places with no laws regarding it. If not for fear of legal ramifications, fear of retaliation might stop them. Or of being judged. Regardless, humans as a whole are an altruistic species. If pushed, we will kill one another for our own survival and the survival of those closest to us, but most of us don't go seeking out people to kill. Laws didn't always exist, and yet we still exist despite that. Seems like we didn't go around clubbing each other over the head for sport on a regular basis.

Honestly nothing is really good or evil it just depends on how you see it and Demons tend to be fairly neutral and also keep in mind that many of them are in fact Gods from other Religons who were Demonized

Treat them with respect and they will show you the same respect and only work with them when you feel a calling

Finally, do not work with a Demon and think that they're evil or a monster because that's how they'll show themselves to you, just like other Gods

Demons are not evil...its due to christian misconception that they are generaly perceived as evil,as we know like attracts like our beliefs and expectations naturally attract evil to us in accordance with the natural law of attraction.but these evils are not done by demons but by our unconcious belief in evil.
