Need help with offerings

So when your offering something to a deity like food, drinks, items what do you do with it afterwards? If it's food or a drink do you just eat it/drink it after a couple of hours after offering it or something? And if it's an item like flowers, lipstick, etc... what do you do?, do you throw it away? Or do you keep it somewhere? Or if it's money, makeup or clothes or something can you still use it afterwards?

It really depends on what you believe in. I know that generally in Balinese culture when making an offering you just leave it out and what happens to it happens to it. Especially with food offerings when animals eat the food it can be interpreted as the deity accepting it. As with things like coins and crystals it is most common to bury these things. Now I’m not quite sure about makeup or clothing, I would say it would depend on the deity. Like if it’s a dragon they would generally find it offensive to use their offerings, on the other hand if it’s a more gently creature they might like you using an offering as if it has been blessed by them.

I'm in my room and I was just working with Pomba Gira. I lit a candle, some incense, put my offerings on my shelf and said my spell/prayer. Now that I'm done I don't really know what to do with the offerings and I don't want to offended her

What items did you use in the offering?

I am not very familiar with Pomba Girl so maybe you could ask her in some way, maybe through a meditation. If you just put it out there that you are not trying to offend her than I would think it would be fine to use the items. Even say it out loud if you have to that you don’t mean to offend her. With the water, you might be able to find a plant that she is associated with a pour it on that. If that isn’t available than I would suggest just pouring it on a plant.

personally it depends on the item. if its food/drink i typically place it outside, or in the compost depending. if it's water, i usually use it on my plants.

regarding flowers, again, i would put them outside, or in the compost. with lipstick, it's a little tougher, but since it's a non perishable and it's theirs, i would leave it. i might take it off the altar when i clean or reorganize, but i would always have it somewhere that the deity knows it's forever there thing. i have a permanent altar, but i also have a shelf on the bookcase beside the altar i place stones, dried flowers, candles, and other nic-nack decorations i use seasonally on the alter. i also have a drawer where i keep smaller candles, incense, drawstring bags, and tools for my craft. if you can, have a spot where you keep your magick tools so if you choose to reorganize or clean it stays in a magickal place.

That depends on you. Personaly in my offerings I always shared it with them (I offered foods for example) and didn't throw it away because it brings me closer to them and we feel like a team. Even if it wasn't a spirit I know I'd feel nice to sharw it with them as it shows cooperation and brings us closer.
