June's Herb of The Month is Thyme! This is another one of those edible herbs. Share with us your experiences with this plant. Do you know any folklore behind it? Have you ever used it in your bath water? How about in tea? What about in cooking? Do you like the smell of this plant? Tell us any interesting ways you might have used this plant. Was it in a spell? Perhaps a ritual? That or maybe simply as an offering? Whatever the case may be, leave your word vomit down below!

I myself have a thyme plant. I have mine next to my other edibles like my sage, rosemary, mint, and basil. The two pots of sage are green but the mint, basil, rosemary, and thyme are all in little black pots placed in clear burbon glasses which looks super beautiful. I'll show a pic when I got off my lazy butt at some point. I have these on this nice little table in front of my sliding glass window which leads to my balcony. So they get plenty of sunlight. It is easy to pick up and move to the side when I head outside to tend to the rest of the plants. The table is right next to my Ares and Enyo/Aphrodite/Harmonia shrines. It's because I have a shrine to those three ladies and one to Ares, Deimos, and Phobos.

Okay now that you have the visual down to what I intend to use it for! It was used in bathing rituals and in teas in Roman times.Soldiers bathed in it for strength, bravery, and courage. They drank it for simular reasons. Women wore it in their hair for beauty. So when wearing this I think it would be a great combination with rosemary. I would love to weave a garlands of the two plus bay laurel. I set up a drying station and have some layed out to dry as we speak. I should be grabbing a pestle and mortar sometime this week to grind the herbs up with. I save jars from fruit, pickles, coffee, and liquor to wash them out and use for later. So I already have clean jars to store them in too. :D

Hello, Jaxies here!

I sadly, don't have any experience with this herb but after taking a look at the herb I think I have used it before in my tea possibly. If I did I got the leaves and mixed them with hot water which I think made my headache go away. it looks like I used it before but I'm still not sure.Or maybe it was a different plant that looked the same.

However, I would love to use this herb in tea since I am a tea lover! I don't really drink anything but tea I just love tea it's really amazing! I love sun tea! (Sorry got off track )

I could see myself using it while taking a bath or as an offering or making some tea with it. I can see this herb having many different uses with it.

Blessed Be.
