Hello, fellow coven members! Jaxies here.

I have this book aboutRunes since I amstudying them and I wanted to write thisthread aboutRunes. Please, correct me if I got anyinformation wrong or tell me something new aboutRune's since I would love to know more things about Runes. But, I'll tell you want I know aboutRunes at the moment oflearning them...There are many types of Runes ...( I'll name the ones I know, feel free to add some )

Viking Runes Medieval Runes Healing Runes

Runes can be made out of anything( correct me if I'm wrong, please ) just make sure to put in the Rune symbol. Most runes are made out of stone something hard so you can carve the symbol in it.

Rune's are tools fordivination (I think ). Runes, can be used forhealing and working with your third eye.Rune's can be also used forconnecting with higherenergy ( I think ) SomeRunes are like Tarot Cards since they can tell the past, present, and future .Runes are nothing to be fooled around with since they are very powerful. Some runes are symbols of gods and goddess you can use those types ofRunes to contact a god or goddess. Some people like using runes for prayers or to cast a circle of protection. Also, Runes can be used for meditation for better energy and a clearer mind ( I believe ) .I, myself never usedRunes before because I am a little scared of working with such powerful magic tools.

Anywho , I just thought I share what I know aboutRunes well what I think I know about runes please correct me on any information that I got wrong. Also, feel free to tell me your experience with working with Runes if you have worked with them.

Blessed Be.

Viss, Percy, Evynne, Nord and Fen are good peeps to ask about runes.

The following is a link given to me by Nord from a while back:

Runes, in my opinion, are very difficult to learn. This is me talking from personal experience, but because there are so many I have a hard time remembering what each represents (I know general meanings, but Runes have far more depth to them than just "this is bad, this is good, etc." This is because of the vast lore and history behind the Runes themselves).

This doesn't mean everyone has a hard time learning the Runes, I just tend to struggle a bit more and have to take breaks. I think a good practice to learn Runes (Younger or Elder Futhark) is to learn them in pairs. Fehu and Uruz, Thurisaz and Ansuz , and so on and so forth. A book I read, Taking Up the Runes by Diana L. Paxson, recommended studying each pair for a month (I could be wrong about that timeframe, but if I remember correctly it was a month).

However, you don't have to go by months, you could split it into two weeks if you wanted. But the more time you spend studying them, the better.

I don't think you need to fear the Runes, as they can be great tools. I believe the more you learn, the less you'll fear. I would like to know what book you are reading. From there I can recommend some more books and post some helpful links.
