Janus has the epithet of Pater meaning, "father". He is also called Matutine Pater which means, "morning father". He is a Deity of time and change. As such, he could see the past with one face and the future with the other. So he was honored at marriages, funerals, harvests, and planting season.

Pan

The Roman names for Pan are Faunus and Inuus. The meaning of his name is all and rustic. Additionally, he is equated to being Aristaios or the Latinized name being Aristaios which translates to, "most excellent".

He is a Saytr whom often roamed around Arkadia. He plays his pipes and is said to be the chaser of Nymphs. This isn't really a bad thing in my eyes. Just playful and something a lot of people make out to be this evil sinister thing. He is said to be ugly so worst case scenerio he scared them. That doesn't mean he had any sort of ill intent. Hard not to approach pretty girls you fancy. Aint nothin' wrong with that.

Even the part about Ekho being cursed for spurning his advances is debatable since another version says Hera cursed her for being annoying and distracting her from Zeus. Even if you were to believe she was cursed for not loving him, by who? It never specifies he did it. So I do not hold him accountable for it. He is said to often accompany Dionysus whose treatment of women is both terrible and nonconsensual in at least two cases.

And yet, who is to say he knew either of those things? I don't really believe Gods to be omnipotent. Well, except Apollon to a degree as he has the gift of prophecy and other Gods like him but many do not have those sort of gifts. Like Odin does with his all seeing eye but not every single Norse God does if that makes sense.

It's pretty well established that Hermes is his father. His mother differs greatly between so many different Nymphai. Could be Sose, Kallisto, Thymbris, Penelope, etc. So yeah, enough ranting for me lol.
