Strange music

So I was listening to a bunch of Gregorian chants (you know the unaccompanied sacred music sung by the western Roman Catholic Church) yesterday afternoon. Then that night as I whent to bed I began tto faintly heir chants I had lisend erlyer that day. I walked around the house to see were the music was coming from. But as soon as I stepped out of my room the music begain to fade. I walked around the house and did not find the sorce of the music. By now I could not hier the music anymore so I went to bed. But after awile of laying down in bed I begain faintly to here the chants again. This time it sounded like it was coming from my room this time. I checked my computer to see if I had left it on but I had turned it off. I don't own any music listening devices so I know it wasn't that. No, it was not a dream because I pinched myself several times to make shure, and no I am not making this up. Could someone please tellme if why I was hereing the again is because something magical going or if it was just my mind playing tricks on me. Thanks! :)

At the risk of sounding extremely boring, if you've been listening to music on repeat, or music that is similar in structure for a period of time, it's not uncommon to be able to reproduce it mentally. Especially when it's something as repetitive as chants.

So I wouldn't say this has any particular significance.

I will call that: "The After Music Phenomenon," and what I do know is that it is often experienced by Gamers after playing a game for couple of hours. You know one of those games that seems to just place an individual on a spot for hours because he/she just loves the game? It has the same effect for people listening to Chants in other languages.

While people find that odd. Humans are capable of creating scenarios in reality that does not exist at the present time but has happened a while back. Depending on what the trigger is! It usually happens when you hear something that you can relate to a previous experience you had because it is part of the new track you were listening to. Often times it is experienced if you are going to sleep already. [And in my opinion: You are much more capable of reproducing something that you heard once or twice before when you are going to sleep already]
