So I've met this really nice girl who loves Harry Potter and is very much like me, and we've become fast best friends. I can't keep this secret from her anymore, but I don't know how to tell her that I practice magick. Can you please help me? It's killing me to keep this from her.
Thanks. I have no idea of she'll want to join, but maybe I'll try taking the honest way like you suggested. But to all of the people reading this, that doesn't mean that you can't post any more ideas!

I would say tell her, but ensure you put the point across that this is not like Harry Potter, for a start that may make her completely not believe you or that you are playing fantasy. But it may also change her opinions of your beliefs completely if her first thought is of Harry Potter.
Make her aware that it is different and not half as fantastical as she may believe and hopefully she will accept your practice, especially if she feels the same way as you do.

I wouldn't recommend telling her, think about it, she's just like you and she loves harry potter, what are the chances that she hasn't already found something like this just like you did?
If she did find something like this then either she decided that she thinks its bunk or she decided to give it a try, either way there would be no point in telling her anything.
But if you insist on it then start by probing her on her opinions on alternate religions and her beliefs.
Hi, I agree with what everyone is telling you to a point. Kinda do you research on her a bit, see what religion she is in to, what are her beliefs. Kinda think how she will react to it, she might be in disbelief for a while and that is normal. Just be careful, but if she is your friend she will understand eventually. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
I'm thinking of maybe saying something like, "Don't you wish we could do magic like Harry Potter?" Then she would probably say "Yeah." Then I might say "Well, I can. Please believe me on this, this is not like Harry Potter magic, but it still is magic, and I can teach you how to do it if you want." So yeah I'm thinking of maybe going that way?
Religion plays a very important role to your future friendship if you are to decide to tell her about this secret of yours. While that is the case, religion also plays a vital role in deciding the future possibility of her joining SpellsofMagic. [First from Desperation but maybe not of Curiosity]
If I were you, I will focus my interest in understanding the phenomenons in reality than the practices you do. This may catch her attention! Second to that is curiosity of the unexplained based on facts. [Resource: SpellsofMagic] Then you start explaining what the website has in store for you.
