Oh wow Agiel^ That sounds like an amazing experience! I am so glad you shared it! :D
So I am adding an experience in this thread about my recent and first time scrying with a black mirror :)
So the other day I made a black scrying mirror. I bought a picture frame and spray painted the back of the glass with high gloss spray paint, then added Sanskrit the top and sides of the frame and a mantra to Kali on the bottom part of the frame as I am devoted to Kali.
The following is how I interpret the whole experience I had :)
First I tried bonding with the mirror by visualizing energy from the elements going through to me then going through to the mirror, and by holding it and keeping it near me.
I then put on the mantra chant of the mantra I wrote on the scrying mirror, (I found it on youtube!) which goes "Om Sri Maha Kalikayai Namah" which is a mantra to invoke Kali's transformative nature, to listen and chant along with it.
Then I cast a basic circle I do for preparing a space for divining. Once that was done, I chanted the mantra 9 times along with the youtube recording and focused my thoughts into as clear and open a mind as I could muster. I looked into the mirror's surface, then deep into the black, like a well going deeper and deeper. I had to stop and refocus many times throughout the whole process. The whole experience took maybe 30 minutes.
I told Maa Kali that I invite her to my home, into and around all of it, and into my heart and into my spirit. I said that if She wanted, I would be honored if She would manifest in some way. Then in the mirror I saw a feminine face like made of smoke almost, then a deep red energy became apparent in the center of where the face was. It was formed into a moving ball of sorts as I watched it.
I couldn't totally make out what I was seeing at first, then I saw the red ball like image form into petals, then a rose, partially opened. The flower moved and rotated and I was able to see the colored energy disappear. It was the only color I saw throughout the scrying. I saw it turn to a smoky white shape, swirling.
The smoke then turned into an elephant, kind of up close, like mainly the head and the eye is what I noticed most. It moved towards me and moved to the side and I saw what I am associating with a stream or river. There was a lot of swirling movement then, without any specific shapes.
So then I spoke to the spirit that resides in the house I live in (who I believe was the first owner of the house who gifted the house to my husband's family). I asked if she had anything she wanted me to know. I invited her to communicate through the mirror.
At that point I saw a different face, a younger female face, than the first face I saw. It then became an old face, as though the younger female face aged quickly into an older face through movement..
At that point, weirdly, the shapes turned to a wise old primate of some sort (not sure if it was a lesser or greater ape). And those were the words that came to mind when I saw the shape, "Wise old primate"
Then more smoky swirls.
I told the spirit that I am open to communication from her through divining tools, and that most of all I wanted harmony and balance in our house. I felt a balanced energy or presence at that point.
Again the swirling smokiness turned into a moving stream or river.
Then my "other eyes" (for lack of a better word) were tiring and I needed to stop.
So I thanked Maha Kali and the Spirits for their graciousness :)
Then I put down the mirror face down and covered it with a cloth.
Then I closed down my circle.
It was a pretty amazing experience, especially because I went into it not necessarily thinking anything would even happen. Not that I am a skeptic of the process, but that I never assume I can do anything right off the bat, if at all. I wasn't knowing what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I still have to go through the experience and research the images I saw, like the elephant, the primate, the rose and the stream or river of water. But I wanted to share with you all this very first experience I had scrying with a black mirror :)
