I haven't read much of Scott Cunningham's stuff, nor have I read any of the other books posted about besides The Shining. It's one of my favorite books though, and I want to re-read it soon.

Scott Cunningham is fine to me. I mean, sometimes the way he describes the Goddess in comparison to the God makes me go "ughhh" but overall, he's a decent author.

I haven't had much time to read for fun since I started grad school :( I really miss books, but I feel like when you have to read so much at school the last thing you want to do is come home and read again.

When I do have some time, however, I bought "The Price of Freedom" which is a telling of Pirates of the Caribbean: namely, Jack's exploits when he was younger. I'm obsessed with pirates and Jack Sparrow's character in general so I'll be excited to crack it open. It's just quite a large book for me to try and read right now.

Favorite book is hard to say. I have a soft spot in my heart for poetry collections and 18th century literature. I loooove Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility. The Bronte sisters were fantastic authors. Poetry-wise, I love Edgar A. Poes collections as well as Robert Frost. And a book I love just for fun is, of course, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.

And the Fourth is

I've been trying to read a book a month, starting in Feb. I read The Hours which my professor recommended because he interpreted it as a way to look at Greek humanism (in the last parts of the book). It's a movie with Meryl Streep now. It's about three women, Virginia Woolf, a woman reading Mrs. Dalloway, and a woman who *is* a modern day Mrs. Dalloway.

March, which I haven't finished, is the Pearl that Broke It's Shell, it's a story, sort of like how The Hours is written, about two women in Afghanistan living their lives, how they overcome struggles faced by the society they live in.

For April, I might read Mrs. Dalloway, or try finishing Roman Blood (I stopped because I'm a shit person, like I stopped reading March's book, and now I'm behind and should probably just stop).
