Or in General?if so what is the significance?

It's a very old tradition going back centuries, not all rings associated with magic have a stone. I have said it once, I will say it again, people thee days focus on crystals and forget about the inherent magical properties of the different metals. Many rings simply had a specific metal and then engraved design in the centre.

Some of the more famous ones which come to mind ar the ring of Solomon which features heavily in the "Key of Solomon" grimoire and also within the Enochian system of Dee and Kelley who received a different design.

Before this more medieval magic of course you also had rings in the form of talismans which would have certain metals, stones, engravings etc. and charged with influence.

In terms of rings used in ritual, it does seem to be a popular piece of equipment for many modern occultists, personally, I am a minimalist and don't use one, other people do. The power contained therein is up to the individual user and whether they have charged the ring to have inherent power or the power comes from their belief in the rings use is not only up to the individual practitioner, but also one's beliefs regarding magic and how it works.

I got myself a very cool ring recently
Huge red stone,it's more for fun though
When I do the Bornless rituals etc I wear it
To get me in the Mood,I don't actually feel the ring

I think we all have little things like that, I would wear an hexagram during certain rituals at one point. There was no inherent charged magical property embedded in the necklace, I never even consecrated it, however, since the symbolism corroborated with my own interpretation of the rituals I felt it aided with the working.

I do know some people over time do get a magic ring they personally like the design of I can think of quite a few names off of the top of my head. I am of the Crowley camp that one's personal gnosis/connection to divinity is personal and as such any tool used within the art should be personalised.

As such, magicians these days tend to invent or receive their own personal designs for magical rings or receive/invent instructions for the consecration of certain types of ring which serve them either as an aide in general practice, or have a specific use, such as within systems of evocation when a spirit is shown the ring in order that they will obey.

I personally lay focus on the essential tools rather than the extra furnishings of a temple. But I am a disgusting heretic in my own tradition!

i use rings in magick and actually in the process of getting a number of rings made for certain rituals and ceremonies.

if you have any skill with tools you could engrave a ring with magickal symbols or sigils and charge them or you could simply bless or charm/enchant them. I usually wear two silver rings one on left hand pinkie which has got celtic patterns on it which i did a ritual where i charmed it for good luck and balance and i wear on my right hand a silver pentagram ring on the finger next to my pinkie (can never remember what it is called) and i charged and charmed it for protection.

rings in my opinion are rather nice for ritual work and it helps in a strange way get in a right frame of mind if i am wearing a ring which i only wear for a wiccaning ceremony/ritual then it is a kind of reminder and helps me get in the right mind set for the ceremony/ritual.

I wear a ring that I found during a long walk years back, it's a small silver ring with the classic pentacle, the band is earn and bent up, you can tell somebody wore it everywhere. Objects of someone else's affection always connected with me so I incorporated it into my practice. Someday I hope to be approached by a stranger who lost "a ring life that" I'll tell them the story and return it to its rightful owner.

I have a ring that I commissioned from a friend a year ago, carved from a slice of human femur and having a sigil from Cornish witchcraft on it, for spirit working.
