Kemetic Ponderings

So, in the spirit of journaling I created "Kemetic Ponderings". I'm not entirely sure how often I will be putting in a thought, or even how coherent it will be, but I thought it would be nice to get such things going. :)

Have you ever been in one of those perfect foggy mornings; where the light just streams through the trees and the fog lights up suddenly after being dark, moist, and silent? Suddenly birds start singing and it's like the world comes to life?

Those times always remind me of Zep Tepi, of First Time, when the world was Nun and nothing existed. Then, the light shining through is that first moment of creation and then the world blossoms forth seemingly out of nothing. It's amazing and awesome and something I couldn't fake in a million years.

And it is one of my most cherished moments of feeling fully connected to my path; that I can see such a normal occurance as something so precious.

Spent the weekend at a small gathering for Wesir Mysteries. On my mind is that what I do for the Netjeru and with the Netjeru isn't about me. It's never been about me or what I do for them. It's more about what is done for them and done for others. It's rather sad in a sense, but it's become terribly profound for me.

It's a sense of being very, very small and unimportant and loving every moment of it. Accepting it and wanting it. It's really strangely comforting.

Since coming back from Tawy (KO Main Temple) I've been feeling very...crowded in a lovey good way. It's really nice. While I was there I was sleeping in the shrine room, not really for dreams, so much as I just wanted to sleep near them.

It's like a feeling of intense love/protection/warmth. It's one of the best feelings in the world and I intend to carry it with me as much as possible.

I've been thinking of Zep Tepi lately. Zep Tepi means "First Time" and it describes the time when the Netjeru walked amongst humans. It also deals with going back to that initial state of being aligned with ma'at.

Lately this deals with me forgiving myself of past things I have done and have not done.
