Strawberries for Fae

So my backyard is pretty overgrown and there's cute lemon trees and beautiful rose bushes growing there. I have read that fae like overgrown places?? It's pretty wild back there, so I was thinking that, in the case of there being fae, I could leave some fruit behind the house for them. I have strawberries at the moment, would they be a good gift? Also, are strawberries poisonous to any animals? I don't want to poison the neighborhood cats or anything, just feed whatever's back there.

And if you think it's ridiculous I think there's a chance of fae, I think anything is possible, I've always believed that. And aren't they supposed to be nature spirits? I know many other users on here believe in nature spirits. So please don't hark on me unless you think leaving fruit out will poison something.

While I'm not an expert, I've heard that sugar/sugar water is a good cheap offering for fae, as well as honey. They like berries, but they gotta be locally grown, try farmers markets in your area. In terms of non-edibles, feathers, sea shells, and pinecones are some of their favorites. Hope this helps!

I no longer live in the area I was going to leave the strawberries in, but they were locally grown. My family normally gets strawberries from the local farm down the street (best strawberries I've ever had). But thank you all for the advice ^.^ I'm hearing a lot about honey, though. Is that a favorite or just a cheap and simple solution?
