I understand your point Brysing and I do agree with you. Though, I also agree with Personified regarding the location as well as your explanation. Both are very valid points and it would help if people did provide a bit more so we who can guide have a better idea of where to start. However, some people do not feel as if they need to share their physical location as well as some do not feel they need to find a local coven. I can identify fact from fiction and there are quite a few educated practitioners on this site, therefore I will associate myself with those I wish to surround myself with. Granted, hands on experience is best in my opinion when it comes down to magic. However, solitude sometimes is better in my book. Overall, I guess it comes down to personal preference, but I do understand your frustrations.

Well, I think both sides are right and wrong.
This site is for special community, while it leaves opportunity for complete privacy, on the other hand - this community requests for some details.
The reasons are simple - trust and communication. It is easier to trust someone and communicate with him while you "see" that person. That is why blanks are often ignored, called newbies an so on. But if person chooses not to give any details, we should respect his decision.
If the goal is to improve communication and form community some personal details should be obligatory - and in registration form become a must fill form.

Brysing, would you say kids that start out as fluffs and then they learn/practice the real lifestyle is sgill acceptable? Like, they won't be ridiculed for once being fluffs?

I try not to ridicule; but I do point out that, very often, what they are asking is Fluff. But we all, as children, have our fantasies. But it gets a bit "much" when an adult asks to be turned into a vampire!

I see. Maybe I'll make a post more about it. But an adult's profile that talks about wanting to be a vampire is a tad bit off!

@ LunarGoddess two quick things, one, I have met adults who make such claims. I met a woman older than me who sent me pictures of a rock asking if I knew how to make her dragons egg hatch. It wasn't even a pretty rock or a gemstone, it looked like a rock you would find in a driveway. I also have a friend [24] who swears she's a werecat who can teleport. I have a large imagination, I cosplay, and I still like fantasizing about stuff, the problem is when people can't differentiate fantasy and reality. It doesn't just stop, as kids get older they can tell fantasy and reality, but some for whatever reason refuse to live in reality. You don't hit a magical age and become an adult [I'm a 25 year old with an almost complete Disney movie collection which I watch frequently]

Regarding your once fluffy always fluffy comment, I don't speak for everyone but I feel people deserve a second chance. When I started I worried someone could turn me into a cat, after a month I learned that was impossible. People learn, grow, change, think of you a year ago, unless you are clinging to an image and refuse growth, chances are you're different. If someone is serious about change, I would like to believe most wouldn't throw a mistake back in their face.

One reason some People do not post a real location is because number one they don't want to find a coven or they already have one
Number two we have heard of stalkers havent we
Number three they are just a private person who may not want to put a location for the whole online world to see and I dont think they should be juged for it let them do what they want its their bio not yours

I understand about the location, but age should be necessary, most kids lie and pretend to be adults

Gender is not really nessesary but recomended

I really agree that all members should write something about themselves and Brysing is right, they should write about their interests, what they know and what they are interested in learning, this way they can be helped.

No body should lie about their, age. Age doesn't matter fully.

What matters is how someone carries themself. They may be 29 and have no respect for another's belief. Some may be 8 and can be extremely mature. Age doesn't matter, It's how a person carries their beliefs, And how they act.

The age doesn't matter at all even I know a grown up married couple who claims to be a werewolves and they have a baby as well -_-
and I'm only 13(going to be 14 days this year)
and I have full confidence on myself that I'm at least a little matured than them
it depends upon the person
