As far as I heard about energy vampires, they never seam to understand what they are doing to others. They do it unconsciously.
If you can notice what you are doing, maybe you will be able to control or at least prevent somehow. Maybe searching in energy related subjects, like meditation, grounding, centering, manipulation, etc. will give you answers :)

I'm curious about something... when you drain energy do you feel better or less tired?

also if you want to control it simply start by doing energy ball exercises and any other that help you control energy or ki

after that you should be able to feel the energy coming and going and you can stop it.. also what i found to be useful is to crate a shield around you that blocks the intake of foreign energy.

and now for the last thing.. if you are doing this unconsciously you can be a very powerful psychic i recommend experimenting with it and see what you can do with the excess energy

hope it helped :D

In my defense I'm not really comfortable asking but I needed to get info on it and help. I never knew tht I was an energy vamp, I honestly I thought those didn't exist, I thought drainers nd energy vamps were two different things. And from what I can remember I've been like this since i was a little kid, way before I even knew magic was real. So please don't say I wanted the attention or I'm self made, because I have no clue how I got this "gift" in the first place

Do not worry, from my research, I can assure you that energy vampires aren't very dangerous, other then the slight tiredness, to other humans. Also, try, if you know how, letting energy flow back into them. Also, do you feel more energized when the people around you get tired?

Everyone naturally gives and takes. Everything about life is a give and take, from what we bring into our bodies (air, food, drink, etc.) to what we give off (sweat, breath, dead cells, urine, excrement, etc). It is all reused and recycled. Even emotionally, we give and take. But sometimes, in some people, there is an lack of balance. Some give away so much that it makes them physically feeble, ill, emotionally detached and depressed.

Some take so much that it causes them to harm the ones around them. Almost everyone that becomes ill or injured will on some level drain the energy of those around them, which is why I always protect myself when going to hospitals or when I take care of sick family members.

A really good example of a place full of people that will zap your energy is a nursing home.

On a psychological level, it can be the product of depression or personality disorders. Technically, this could be seen as a symptom of "needy" personalities. They "need" so much that they unconsciously draw from people.

If it is psychological, becoming more self confidant, self sufficient, and independent is the first step. Realizing that you do not "need" anyone will likely be impossible for you right now if this is your problem. Think about living entirely alone with no outside contact for a month. If your reaction was something along the lines of "oh gods, no!" then this is likely your issue.

If it is chronic illness, then I would suggest looking into how to manage your energy consciously and shield your family and friends.

Even if it is a mental obstacle you, it's still a good idea to learn to be more aware of yourself on a spiritual level. Take from things that in and of themselves are balanced. There are many rituals designed to replenish and balance our energy in a healthy way, such as the Middle Pillar Ritual or simply greeting the sun at dawn and letting the rays wash over you. Rome wasn't built in a day, and healing yourself will equally take time and patience.

I would like to also mention that Nature also has a way of forcing balance. For instance, the one who gives away too much, will eventually become the one who take so much because their choices made themselves ill on all levels.

Equally, those that become ill (in a supportive environment) will be given what is needed to bring them back to balance. But unfortunately, the world is not perfect, and most people that have mental and emotional baggage have to work through it by themselves. In smaller communities or within close families, this is not the case. Many times, stress and anxiety in itself is the cause of the physical chronic illness, and once the emotions are nourished, the body is restored as well.
