djinn is merely another spelling of jinn.

In the qu'ran the jinn are the rebellious angels who refused to bow to man and rebelled with their version of Satan (I forget his Islamic name!).

I believe the normal angels are sometimes called jinn, but do not hold me to that. Islam is not something I have looked into deeply.

I've heard that Lillith, the first wife of Adam got together with Satan and created Djinns. I'm not sure if this is actually true or not though.

That cannot be true. Lilith and Satan are from Jewish mythology. Djinn have their roots in Arabic mythology.

I don't believe there is any mention of Lilith in Islam.

I thought the first wife of Adam was Eve! I must have misread Genesis.

I've heard that Lillith was the first wife but she would not submit to Adam so she left and God made Eve from one of Adam's ribs.

I believe a few Jewish philosophers produced the idea, however, I do not believe it was ever written in the bible that Lilith was the first wife of Adam.

Not in the first five books of the Jewish Scriptures either! I have a translation from the original Hebrew, and it definitely says Eve!
