Creating your own spell?

Of course you can create your own spell. Spells tend to work better if they are personal like that as opposed to just copying from something. If you make your own you can put more feeling into it and its more meaningful to you. Which is the most important thing.

You can create it however you want. Add whatever helps you when casting. If candles help, add those. If incense helps, add that. You can write your spell on any kind of paper with any kind of writing utensil, or you can type it on your computer, or whatever you wish. Remember that what's important is the meaning and intent. The words, candles, etc. Just help you to get into the mindset to spell cast. You don't even necessarily need anything. If I'm working a spell, and I don't have a specific ingredient, I use something that may have some connection to it. The beauty of magic is that it allows you to work with what you have. If you need fire as in its presence of energy, try to draw a symbol representing fire, and imagine your energy melding with the symbol, invoking the energy of fire (spiritually, of course). If you need to dispose of something through the use of fire, try visualizing fire around the object in question as you throw it away. I agree with the comments above. You are the temple and what's needed to cast a spell is hidden within you. Objects just aid you but without them, it doesn't mean it's not gonna work.
