Types of mediation?

I have been practicing basic stuff(you know meditation, grounding, centering, etc.) and want to expand my horizon. I saw in a forum post a person said they preferred this type of meditation( I don't remember what it was) to help him. So can someone help me and tell me how many types there are and how to do them.

Okay there are tons and tons of "types" of meditations. You can't really name them all because there are so many, and even more of them being made up every day.

Some prefer guided meditations, like myself, who enjoy them freely on YouTube and such. There can be third eye meditations, relaxation meditations, contacting your spirit guide/animal/whatever meditations, and there are meditations that help you activate your astral body and slowly begin the process of meditation.

So, there are many many many types of meditations, you just have to seek out a purpose of what you want to do, and meditate on it.

Meditation is really "deep thinking"; allowing the subconscious Mind to "take over". I learnt by concentrating on a small bowl of darkened water. But concentrating on just about any object will do;s mall statue, a lighted candle. I have been meditating for so many years now, that I can meditate at will! But I started with the water. So,yes. There are many ways to start.
