A witch does not follow the laws you stated for themselves, witches do not need to follow laws, they make their own decisions, be they wrong or right. For example, look at the three fold law, it says that all magic will come back to you threefold, be it good or bad. So, in a way, that law tries to get witches to make a morally correct decision over a spell cast with a negative intent. Once again, I find Karlisb's views very interesting, not wrong, but unique, I think that it is worth thinking on, perhaps laws only apply because we give them essence. Normal laws of magic, yes, they are meant to apply to magic, not the witch, waere there because we observed the way all natural things work and applied the laws of the world to magic, but maybe magic does not need to abide by the natural way of the world.

No laws, karlish? Magic has to obey the law of physics. Magic can work wonders; it very rarely works miracles!

Sure, witchcraft follows the Law of Contagion, Law of Attraction, the Law of Cause and Effect, Law of Similarity, and most importantly, the Law of Knowledge. And we can never forget Murphy's Law! :P

Apart from laws of magic, there are laws restricting the effects of magic, though they're usually common sense, eg. The law of ebb and flow states that there are going to be ebbs and flows, ebbs being hard times and flows being the good times, like a tide, going in and out, like a stated before, the laws of magic are based on the way the world works. No magic and keep the tide from ebbing back into the ocean, so we can't always use magic to give ourselves good fortune, or nothing would work out.

Or...magic already knows what you will do and trips you three times. Forcing you to do what you will. Gives you what you want. And then you learn from it. Its all relative. Thats why i trust in my higher power. Put one foot in front of the other, and do the next right thing. I do not need to know their plan to know they have a plan for me.

That's true, I've read somewhere someone said : 'The universe has got my back' in a way, that may mean that the universe works everything out in the end regardless of whether or not you believe

When i started studying about wicca that time my wiccan teacher told me that " First of all you have to agree 13 principles of Wicca." I agreed it. So i don't know about laws of wicca but I know that there are 13 principles of wicca. ~Namaste~

Actually WolfRider there are no uniiversally accepted 13 Principles.

The so-called 13 Principles were created by an organization run by the head of Llewellyn Publications and calling itself the American Council of Witches in 1974. The organization couldn't even agree with each other and fell apart within a year. The 13 Principles were not universally accepted by Wiccans then and they certainly are not now. So if your teacher was insisting that you had to agree with them in order to be Wiccan or Witch she was sadly mistaken. One can agree with them if one pleases, but they are not any sort of "Law" that is followed by the greater community.
