If you're worrying about whether or not the spell will work as you intended, then I would recommend starting over. Doubting the efficacy of your spell will most likely result in it not working.

White candles can be substituted for any color. :) You can dispose of it by the river, burying it, leaving it or burying it by tree roots. Leaving it at the crossroads.
