Ave Frannyboy,

By Voodoo, are you referring to the Haitian Religion of Vodou? Originated in Yoruba in Africa.

If this is the case, I have a great friend of mine who I won't include her name here, but she is a well-versed Bokor, a Bokor means a Vodouisant who works with two hands. Her book is not yet released but it is absolutely Fantastic!

Another few authors I suggest, would vary I have found some great authors on Vodou and although I am not a Vodou practitioner, I do understand the religion quite well.

I suggest you watch the Divine Horseman, it's a movie which can be found on YouTube which is an excellent starting point in understanding the Lwa.

I wish you the best of luck in your path,
L.V.X.

The best book, in my opinion, is :

Voodoo & Hoodoo , by Jim Haskins
