No , that's not really it .
Going to sleep is not something really recommended for astral projection. It refers to that when your body falls asleep while your mind is awake and conscious . There is a state some use for astral projection .
Some uses slight discomfort to help achieve that state .
Falling to sleep is basically not recommended that much .
Astral projection is not something do easy that one can tell you instructions and poof you are able to do astral projection. It is reccomended and even essential that you do research and look on sites and so forth . Getting a book is also recommended .
There are many different methods involving astral projection and not all work for everyone . Astral Projection can take the individual months of practice to achieve
Though I admit some people take to projection like fish to water but to others it just do not come naturally . It really depends on the individual .
Try going to do some research and study . There are quite some information on this topic and what is said on the thread can and is only on the most basic level.
I have AP once while reading books. This was a time when I have never heard about AP. This experince led me to my research on AP, Though I havent yet learned how to do it at will, I contuie to try to leave my body, an encourage eveyrone to try it its very possible and help one to see we are spirit not body.
When astral projecting the best way I can help is to advice going to a quite room and meditating. Once in that state imagine a rope above your head and begin to let your spiritual self grasp it and begin to pull itself up. This will creat the mental and spiritual image of your spirit coming out of your body. It helped me when attempting astral projection and I have been very close. I have known people who have used this method and were successful so give it a try! Plus don't try AP if your throat is itchy or you're having allergies because its hard to relax that way lol. Best of luck!
