People who feel strongly about the running of the site, could work towards becoming editors and publishers themselves, so that they can implement the changes they seek. Peace.

Firstly, editors do not have permission to delete spells, monitor them, or approve them before they are being published in the site's spells book. All they can do is to edit the spell or the article grammatically and contently. All they can do is to improve the article / spell, that's why there authority is named "editors". Moderators cannot delete, monitor, or approve spells or articles either. So saying that the false and not qualified articles and spells here are the editors' or the moderators' fault isn't relevant and very not true. I have seen people here saying that editors and moderators can do something about it, however it's wrong.
But I must say that eny sort of editing and improving of articles is helpful and good, so I completely agree with Zebrah and what she said about editors. If you wish to help the site even for a bit, to any member that cares about the site and is qualified enough to get it, simply work on that, as Zebrah said. Even helping us for a bit is very helpful and important for all of our community, and the qualify of our website in general.

Secondly, many forum threads have been opened and brought up the idea of deleting fantasy spells and getting rid of fluffy buisness. Also many ideas and suggestions have been brought about this subject.

But, currently as I can see the site does not provide members the ability to delete such spells because as Neko said (and very well), not everyone is able to deal with power. If any member would be able to delete spells and take other authoritative actions - the site would looks much worse. People would abuse power, delete important things, etc. I don't think that we are going to have a 'council' of members who are going to monitor spells, delete them or approve them before they are published in the site's spells book.

If this thread was meant to tell people who already have the authority to delete irrelevant material from this site, keep in mind that there are not many people who are able to take such actions. In fact, only the administrator (Petrarca) is able to delete or take any action about such spells.
Now, please observe all of the fluff spells and the fantasy spells. You'd be surprised to see the huge amount of those spells. There are thousands. We are not talking here only about several particular spells, we are talking about a large amount of them. There are plenty ! Think about one person who will have to delete all of these spells. This is impossible ! One person can't really deal with this large amount of unrelevant spells, though keep in mind that our administrator does everything to make the site better and is open to new suggestions.
Also do not forget that people might be too busy to sit for hours and delete those spells, it is a really hard job...
Basically several members with editing permissions cannot delete plenty of spells which are all around the site.

What we better do is to aim to contribute more qualified information presented in : forum threads, the online chatter, articles, spells, etc.
We can also teach people not to follow this thread and to use their logic and maturity, and thus avoid misinformation and misguidance.
If we do all of that and all what we say and work to improve some things here, we will improve some things like KaBoom ! ;)

No need to ask for special authorities that have the ability to delete articles or spells, approve them before being published, monitor them, etc. Lol

As mentioned before, this has been brought up for several times. I have observed the "site updates" thread, and there are many suggestions about getting rid of these spells.
If you wish to suggest for a way to get rid of them, post your idea in the "site updates" thread and your idea might be promoted and developed.
This thread sounds like an opinion, so feel free to present it in a thread which is dedicated only for opinions and suggestion (site updates thread).

But keep in mind what I said above, and what Neko said ( you can also rate the spells and articles down and mark them as spam).

Have you been an Editor or a Priestess before, Magickal_Aid?
I'm hearing this from someone who has. Now, I never said they exactly delete spells so if they can't, then it's still good enough for me if they can at least edit the horrifying grammar and such. lol

It honestly doesn't matter, a huge post is not necessary.

De_Vertis, it is well known here that basically only the publishers (currently the only publisher we have is the administrator) can delete spells or do anything which is more authoritative than editing the spell grammatically or contently.

Basically editors cannot delete spells or articles, approve them before they are published to the public website and the spells book, or even monitor them.
I will help you out for a little to understand what editors do and what there job is by quoting some sentences from the official editors page which gives us this information directly and strictly:

" Editors are able to modify submitted content . These people are usually very knowledgeable in their own occult and magic topics. To become an editor you must have been a member of the site for a significant amount of time and have contributed t o the site in such a way to show that you are qualified and responsible enough to handle the duties of an editor. "

So all they can do is to improve the spell's / article's grammar and sometimes even touch the content for a little. Nobody says that editors can delete, approve, or monitor public spells or articles. Same fact about our site moderators.

As for the coven leaders. Perhaps you didn't know, but even the coven leader cannot delete or touch existed articles or spells that were contributed by their own coven. All they can do is to improve them grammatically and contently, but only to spells that their coven contributes. But basically, nobody can delete spells, only the administrator (publisher).

For clarification: As it stands right now, editors are not able to actually edit the spells- for grammar or otherwise.

It's up to the Priestess/Priest to determine what is fluffy and what's not. Not everyone see's a spell as fluffy as some may. Also there is a ranking system in place for that very reason so be sure to rank those you think are fluffy. Another thing is there are literally thousands of spells on this site and it is next to impossible to go through them all. Not that we do not try. All help with ranking is very welcome!

Its not about deleting spells or getting rid of them, Its about changing the site and not only the site but also changing the members in to a new way of thinking. People are complaining about fluffs and such, and What probally made them fluffly is spells or if its not that, then they arent ready for the "Real" world. Im just saying that because i know if i was a beginner i wouldnt like for me to become fluffy, and thinking i am doing fluffy spells. I just want to better not only to the new comers but to everybody.
