Meh due to some of the things I was taught, I would not normally seek out demons (in the past) but over the years I realized it is good to learn and experience just about everything you can (short of massacre and other unmentionable acts)

I also suggest the Greater Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, and The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram, to all who wish to learn ritual magick, and protection of their circle/workspace :)

I don't consider the GBRP important considering it's unnecesary and nor as well designed as the LBRP. Yeah, some people don't feel like bribing the whole God the in so they replace Ateh with the God name of Kether Ehieh to make it I am the kingdom etc. Modern magicians give way to much credit tobtge ritual. Crowley even called it the stone of the wise when understood correctly. To me, this is going a bit far considering it was designed as a minor banishing rite for neophytes within the Golden Dawn.

I see it as good practice. Just because you view the GBRP as being less important, it does not make it an invaluable thing to learn ;)

My math class used to go outdoors often and the teacher would often find me picking apart plants. She would ask me what I was doing. My reply was always "studying them". She told me that was not worth my time. Now I can recognize most local plants by there different parts and what the juices look, feel and smell like. That is useful when you wish to pick your own herbs :)

That's completely irrelevant. Think of it this way. The LBRP dies everything the GBRP does only better. The simpler a ritual is, the better. This can be seen from the constant debate about how the elemental postures in the GBRP should be performed. Also, Crowley invented it just because he was bored one day. That's seriously how it came about. It's like saying you already have a mansion but you still want a small town house. Why? There's no point. The LBRP is more effective than the GBRP and does everything the GBRP does. Also, it's simpler but more deep in symbology.
