Vilot, you cannot spell right, spam exclamation marks, and act below your age. Experience is only part of it. And you ask why, why?

Nearly every child, especially teenagers, believe they are mature beyond their years. Tantrums will not sway adults over to your side. Nor will vocally lamenting how you are not viewed as anything more than your age. This only provides a more visible example of the immaturity you deny.

This seems one sided.

I'd like to remind everyone here that when you were 10, you had things to offer. Regardless of how valuable you think it was now, perhaps there are others who would die for the advisement of a strong minded, 10 year old.

I personally do not like having ONLY 45 year old witches that have been practicing for the majority of their lives on my council.
I like having a variety, as long as they work well together, and make up for each others' downfalls, then I'll take them.

Now if I have an 80 year old councilor, who occasionally forgets how to do things in a relaxed manner, then a wild 10 year old could be useful in such cases.

I personally look at councilors as how they used to be viewed, as advisers to their leaders, they help making decisions, and aren't necessarily teachers.

Not every single councilor I've had can list to you each card of the high arcana in order of number, but they most definitely could bring up good points and ideas to help me run a coven.

In my opinion, who cares if 10 year olds are immature, they're 10, it theor JOB not to be fully mature, but sometimes it's healthy to have a little immaturity mixed in with the uptight "dry behind the ears".

Now then I know many of you would love to jump at me for saying this so I tell you now, just because I'm defending the right of a decent 10 year old to council, does not mean I think this particular 10 year old should be on council.

Nallius, you've an excellent point. I'm sorry Vilot. I didn't mean to make you belittled. I often fail to realize how harsh I am speaking until after I have spoken, and that is one of my own little personal demons (so to speak) that I am trying to exercise. Your enthusiasm and energy is great, and I'm sure you have a lot to offer. I just wanted you to see that at ten, we all feel much the same as you but still have much to learn. Just as we do at any age.

I agree that experience is important, but I do not think that age is a factor. And, personally, I think most of the adults that have posted in this thread have shown great deals of immaturity and that vilot hasn't shown an ounce. Some people are wise beyond their years and no one can simply look at one's age and determine without speaking to them in a real in depth way how experienced they are.

Furthermore, simply misspelling some words is not an indication of lack of smarts, experience, or anything. What is said is where the intelligence (and more importantly, wisdom) lies, not in the spelling of the words that are used.

And.....all she did was ask a question! And get offended by people judging, and discriminating against her for something that is totally in material. Totally valid.

Doing this in Public is not something a Council Person would do in my opinion. And Being a Council person may not be what the interest in The Coven. It is up to the Priest and Priestess.
