what abt the numerical way of producing a sigil? based off of the numerologigy of the appropriate planet and words of whatever your sigil is for?

That is entirely possible also. With sigils any way you can think of to make one you can make one. Lol. The world is open to you in this.

Using magick squares and numerology is the old way of doing it. By old I mean pre-New Age. I personally find it works considerably better than the other way. But as with everything, it is personal choice and what works for you.

Magick Squares represent a matrix of planetary energy. They are based on the original work done by ancient mathematicians in their workings of numbers. Mages expanded on this to carry over the correlation between a number and its corresponding planet, thus representing planetary energy in a mathematical format.

Each square is made up using three key numbers. The first is the planetary number itself. The second is the square of the planetary number (or the planetary number multiplied by itself). The third is the sum of the square (or all the incremental numbers starting at 1 that it takes to fill the boxes in the square added together and then divided by the planetary number).

Let us look at Mars
Mars is represented by the number 4. begin drawing the magick square with 4 boxes horizontally and vertically for a total of 16 squares as the square of 4 being 16. The sum of the square in this case are 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16. This equals 136. 136 divided by Mars’s planetary number of 4 equals 34. Each row of numbers in the magick square both horizontally and vertically need to equal 34, which, as it turns out is the sum of the square of the planetary number of 4. Nifty huh?
In Western numerology, each letter has a numerical equivalent. Starting with the numeral 1, write out 1-9 in a line, move down a line, and start with A under the numeral 1 and sequentially write out each letter under each number. When you reach the numeral 9, shift down to the next line and continue in this fashion. This will provide a alpha-numeric matrix. Select the word of phrase that describes your intent (or that of the sigil). Find the plant (in this example) and write the name. Use the corresponding numbers for each letter and create a numerical representation of your chosen word.

please forgive me, I have made an error. I gave an incorrect number for Mars. The correct one is 9, not 4 as previously stated. the principal remains however.
