It's an old Romany gypsy spell, that uses the power of ancient spirits, the money spell requires the use of a bowl of water and 3 coins to be preformed for 7 days.
I believe it's also said if you repeat "Trinka Five" first thing upon waking before you say anything else it will bring you good luck, success and joy throughout the day.
(of course as with anything else you have to believe it and say it with feeling in your heart)
I have never done either so cant say if it works or not.
Maybe I should try it though as I am descended from gypsies.
That's true Opal. I tried looking it up myself, and all I got was the Gypsy chant used for money. Couldn't find anything on the word Trinka itself. Maybe it's a gypsy word for trinket, (or coin) since you need to toss coins in the water. Don't know though.
I was just been curious to why he wanted to know, not saying he shouldn't know but as I said you wont find much about it, the only thing I know is from word of mouth down generations, whither it's fact or not I can't say, But what I've been told is that the trinka five is the Romanian way of describing the five elements of earth, air, fire and water, maybe moon or sun aswell can't say for certain which five it is...., which Romanians believe each element contains a spirit for that said element. But as I said just word of mouth and no way to prove it as fact.
I think the trinka part is actually derived from the the word tricksta and associated to the lore of crows. the latter is just my view on it.
