Necromancy

Recently, a man hung himself in the woods near where I live, after finding his wife dead from an overdose in their home. Normally, I would leave this alone as it's a field of magick I have no experience in, but this particular section of the woods is where I visit a lot, and I can feel his sadness and anger so acutely there that I can hardly bear being there for more than a few minutes. I'm worried that all these negative emotions are going to start rubbing off on the people that live near the spot, especially my wife, who already struggles with depression.

My plan is to help this spirit find peace. However... I've never attempted anything of this nature before. Can anyone recommend any good books on the subject, or offer advice from experience?

ok, the form of necromancy you want is the divination form of it, and look up on ways to telepathicaly comunicate with spirits, thar could help

Shield yourself. Angry spirits aren't really pen palls.
Try to find occultists to help you with the process. Don't go alone.

Already well shielded, I had an unfortunate situation not long ago where someone attempted to hex me... the ring I enchanted is designed to protect me from malevolent energy. That aside, I'm also in tune with my own energy, and know how to protect myself from unwanted intrusion from spirits.

I do have a friend who's been practicing for about 5 years... other than that, I'm the only practicing occultist in my area that I know of... other than the person who attempted to hex me, whom I do not associate with anymore.

His emotions will not fade easily. Thase woods are possessed by that spirit. You need someone who is able to speak with him to tell him that it's okay and that he can move one. He probably is not aware of his death and act like mentally ill person, he's trying to find answer.
