tips on spell casting

As a third year caster, how long have you been studying. If just 3 years, why don't you try learning a bit more before attempting to take on students in the art of spell casting.

The reason for my suggestion is that spell casting is such a broad topic/category in magick that there is so much to learn before being considered actually knowledgeable.
~ 1 year of being a complete beginner.
~ 2 years, you're getting the hang of intermediate spells.
~ 3 years you're creating your own spells (simple, not too complex) and you're learning the basis of the more advanced functions, techniques and are a beginner to multi-religious values of spell casting.

This is just a generalization, you may be much further but I still bid you to wait and study more before taking another person's learning into your hands.

i agree ive been involved in wicca for 7 yearsand im still learning after about a year i thought i was clever cast a few spells which either went wrong or backfired leaving me on the recieving end of karma unfortunatley

I agree as well. The original author of this thread is 13 according to their bio. Luna120, I suggest having a few more years experience under your belt before taking on the task of teaching student. A lot could go wrong and when you take a student you also take on the task of cleaning up after them as they learn. I know because I have had a few students in the physical that I have had to help clean up their mistakes. Also when you are looking to learn from another make sure the person has had enough experience and actually knows what they are trying to teach.
