I got a hate post ;)

It is very apparent that someone does not understand the true nature of sacrifice and maybe never will if they don't learn to stop judging people so harshly. (Watch the original 1973 Wicker Man)

As for being a witch or a pagan there are many different types. All have different practices and beliefs. Respect those around you for even I would come to your aid Wolfs.Flower, if you were under attack from those to quick to judge you for your ideas. However having your own ideas does not give you the right to call out others and bash them.

Remember your rights end where another's beings. (Idea 64 of the council for universal enlightenment)

as the witch holding the knife to the rabbits throat in the pic I can assure you all it is a simple plush bunny, its just a joke...remember humor? But really, enough of sticking all witches and pagans in the same group. Some witches do sacrifice animals, some curse, some do most anything you can imagine. Pagans, witches, magical folk, are the same as other people, we come in all shapes, sizes, beliefs, and philosophies

Back then yes it was pleasing the gods and merely giving something back. Don't think its appropriate now to sacrifice animals unless for food, but of course offering a prayer of Thanks
first to the meat.

Sacrificing a goat or cow is still carried out in Muslim practices in the festival of Eid-al-adha where in history, Abraham was instructed to sacrifice his son to god as a symbol for his love to God And just as he was about to do so. God replaced his son with a goat or a cow.

Ok this pertains nothing to Wicca or whatsoever but just a bit of info on animal sacrifice. Certain Wiccans also view vegetarianism as a natural extension of the Rede.

Lions kill bucks for food and by doing so keep the buck population under control.

Spiders kill insects for food and by doing so keep the insect population under control.

Humans kill spiders out of instinct fear and by doing so keep the spider population under control.

So it is natures way of keeping order so a population explosion doesn't take place.

I love animals, but if snails are going to destroy my veggie garden then I'm going to get some snail repellent from the store. Just as a dog will attack if someone or something tries to steal its food. So don't feel bad about smacking that spider with a rolled up newspaper, it is nature's way of keeping things under control.

From the dawn of time humans were predators and meat is an essential part of our daily diet. So enjoy that steak. Lol :-)

I've had this before. I tend to use the term pagan if people ask me of my beliefs or what have you and most people assume i'm a vegetarian. That i am not but what i do eat is responsibly sourced and i give thanks for the food i eat weather it be plant, animal or fish. Being a vegetarian or a vegan is choice not requirement.

The Charge of the Goddess specifically forbids sacrifice, but that has nothing to do with eating meat. Our Wheel of the Year celebrates the cycles of agriculture - Samhain is the Blood Harvest when farmers and ranchers would harvest their animals.

The video you watched was a combination of fluffy nonsense and UPG.
